# Issue and email native Shopify store credit

From popular demand, the Shopwaive Development team has released a new powerful tool that allows customer service teams to issue store credit to customers native Shopify store credit balance, all within the Shopwaive admin app. What's even more? Customer service teams can send a custom branded email with a description of the reason for credit and a backlink to your brand's storefront to encourage redemption.&#x20;

When customer's receive native Shopify store credit from the Shopwaive app, they can use the convenient <mark style="color:blue;">**Apply store credit**</mark> checkbox at Checkout to redeem. Email templates can be designed and saved in the Shopwaive app with merge tags like <mark style="color:blue;">`{{previous}}`</mark>, <mark style="color:blue;">`{{adjustment}}`</mark>, <mark style="color:blue;">`{{total}}`</mark>, and <mark style="color:blue;">`{{expires}}`</mark> to reference a customer's native Shopify store credit previous balance, adjustment, new balance, and if or when it expires, respectively.
